【报告内容简介】

    Zeolites are highly important catalyst for the petroleum industry, the chemical industry, but are also widely used in everyday applications such as drying agents or ion exchanger. Their specific properties, chemical and physical ones, are related to their crystal structure, locally as well as in their periodic composition. Crystallography deals with e.g. crystal structure analysis, and in the case of zeolites the question of the correlation structure and properties is in the center of interest. In the seminar talk I shall show examples of how crystallographic studies identified the (re-)active centers of the zeolite structure in the past, but also show recent developments in analytical techniques which allow much better understanding of the correlation of structure and properties in zeolitic material.

    Gies教授是国际著名的沸石分子筛研究的专家,研发了一系列新型结构的分子筛材料(RUB系列沸石),长期担任国际沸石协会(IZA)结构委员会的委员、IZA大会奖评奖委员会委员、德国分子筛学会副主席、中科院大连化学物理研究所客座教授等职务,为分子筛科学的发展做出了杰出的贡献。在化学、材料和晶体结构领域的国际期刊

发表一系列高水平学术论文170余篇。
